The Laresar Clean Mars01 combines powerful 5000Pa suction with advanced LiDAR navigation to deliver thorough automated cleaning. This 3-in-1 device sweeps, vacuums and mops in one pass, making it perfect for busy households.
Smart mapping technology creates up to 5 custom floor plans, whilst the Y-pattern mopping system mimics manual cleaning motions. The precision water pump offers three flow settings for different floor types, from delicate hardwood to sealed tiles.
Control everything through the SmartLife app or voice commands via Alexa and Google Assistant. The 3200mAh battery provides up to 180 minutes of cleaning time, covering homes up to 200 square metres before automatically returning to charge.
The Mars01 uses laser detection and ranging technology to scan and map your home's layout. Unlike camera systems that struggle in low light, LiDAR works effectively in complete darkness and creates highly accurate floor plans. The laser scanner rotates 360 degrees, measuring distances to walls, furniture and obstacles with millimetre precision. This creates detailed maps that the robot uses for efficient cleaning patterns, avoiding random bumping into furniture that older models experience.
The manufacturer recommends using only clean water in the 300ml water reservoir. Adding cleaning solutions, detergents or chemicals may damage the precision water pump system or leave residue that clogs the mopping mechanism. The Y-pattern mopping action and adjustable water flow provide effective cleaning with water alone. For stubborn stains, pre-treat areas manually before running the robot, or perform a deeper clean with traditional mopping methods.
Empty the 600ml dustbin after each cleaning session or when the app indicates it's full. Homes with pets or high foot traffic may require more frequent emptying. The primary filter should be cleaned weekly by tapping out debris and rinsing under cold water, allowing 24 hours to dry completely. Replace the HEPA filter every 2-3 months depending on usage frequency. Side brushes typically last 3-6 months, whilst the main roller brush should be replaced every 6-12 months.
The Mars01 features multiple sensors including cliff detection, anti-collision bumpers and obstacle avoidance technology. If it encounters furniture or walls, the bumper sensor triggers direction changes to navigate around objects. For stairs or drop-offs, cliff sensors prevent falls by detecting height changes. If the robot becomes stuck under furniture or in tight spaces, it will attempt to reverse and find an alternative route. The app sends notifications if intervention is required.
After the initial mapping is complete, open the SmartLife app and select your floor plan. Tap the 'Edit Map' function and choose 'No-Go Zone' or 'No-Mop Zone' options. Draw rectangular areas around furniture, pet feeding stations, children's play areas or delicate items you want to protect. No-go zones prevent both vacuuming and mopping, whilst no-mop zones allow vacuuming but disable the water flow. Save your settings and the robot will permanently avoid these areas during future cleaning cycles.
The Mars01 automatically adapts to various surfaces including hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl and low to medium-pile carpets up to 2cm thick. Smart carpet detection increases suction power when moving from hard floors to carpeted areas, ensuring deeper cleaning of carpet fibres. The 7cm height profile allows cleaning under most furniture. However, very thick rugs, high-pile carpets over 2cm or uneven surfaces may cause navigation difficulties or prevent the robot from climbing onto the surface.
Initial mapping typically takes 20-30 minutes for an average-sized home, depending on room complexity and furniture density. The robot systematically explores each accessible area, creating a detailed floor plan. Once mapping is complete, you can edit room names through the app by selecting each area and typing custom labels like 'Kitchen', 'Living Room' or 'Master Bedroom'. You can also merge or split rooms, adjust boundaries and set individual cleaning schedules for each named area.
Dry mode operates the vacuum and sweeping functions only, without engaging the water pump or mopping pad. This mode is ideal for carpeted areas, quick daily cleaning or when you want to avoid any moisture on wooden floors. Wet mode combines vacuuming with simultaneous mopping, using the precision water pump to dispense controlled amounts of water onto the microfibre pad. You can adjust water flow between high, medium and low settings depending on floor type and cleaning requirements.
