The Mars01 features a 3200mAh lithium-ion battery that provides up to 180 minutes of continuous cleaning time. This covers a maximum area of 200 square metres (2152 square feet) on a single charge. Battery life varies depending on your settings - using maximum suction power and wet mopping will reduce runtime, whilst conservative settings extend cleaning time. When the battery runs low, the robot automatically returns to its charging dock and can resume cleaning where it left off once recharged.

Can it clean multiple floors and remember different layouts?

Yes, the Mars01 can store up to five separate floor maps using its advanced LiDAR navigation system. Using the SmartLife app, you can easily create virtual boundaries and no-go zones on your floor map. Simply draw areas on the map where you don't want the robot to clean - perfect for protecting pet feeding areas, children's play zones, or delicate furniture. You can also set carpet-only zones for vacuuming without mopping, or create specific cleaning zones for targeted cleaning. These settings are saved to each floor map and remembered for future cleaning sessions.

Is it compatible with voice assistants and what WiFi does it need?

The Mars01 works with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. You can start, stop, or pause cleaning with simple voice commands. The robot requires a 2.4GHz WiFi connection to function with the app and voice assistants - it doesn't support 5GHz networks. Most home routers broadcast both frequencies, so you'll need to connect to the 2.4GHz band during setup.

How often do I need to empty the dustbin and maintain the robot?

The dustbin capacity requires emptying frequency depending on your home's dirt levels and pet hair. Most users empty it every 3-4 cleaning cycles for optimal performance. Regular maintenance includes cleaning the brushes to remove tangled hair, wiping the sensors clean and occasionally washing the mop pad.
